Hardeep Dhillon is a Ph.D. candidate in the History Department at Harvard University. She received a B.A. in South Asian Studies and Religious Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters from the University of Chicago. Her previous work examined the intersection of gender and minority rights through a focus on the Shah Bano v. Ahmed Khan (1985) case. Hardeep's current research focuses on the history of migration, gender, labor, anti colonial politics, and race from colonial India at the turn of the twentieth century.
